Embark on an epic journey to the base of the world's highest mountain. The Everest Base Camp Trek is a 'must do' on the check list of every adventure traveler. Everest base camp is the most famous of all base camp treks and represents the pinnacle of base camp trekking.
This historic journey will not disappoint as you pass through Sherpa villages, rhododendron forests and glacial moraines. To the first-time visitor and the seasoned alike, the views of the Himalayas - the world's highest mountain range, are nothing short of awe inspiring. This Everest Base Camp Trek offers an abundance of uninterrupted views of the Himalayas up close and personal.

During the climbing season you can meet and chat with Everest mountaineers as they acclimatise and prepare for their once-in-a-lifetime bid for the summit of the world's highest and most famous mountain, Mount Everest.



Itinerary in brief:
Everest Base Camp Trek
 
  • Day 1: Kathmandu
    Arrive at Kathmandu.

  • Day 2-4: Pakding/Namche Bazaar
    Head along the Dudh Kosi to Pakding passing through Cedar and Pine forests while passing Yak caravans carrying trekking equipment. A day is spent acclimatising in Thame. Mani stones mark the path.

  • Day 5: Tengboche
    Leaving Namche Bazaar the scenery is stunning as you trek through Sherpa villages and rhododendron forests en route to Tengboche Monastery.

  • Day 6-7: Dingboche
    As you walk through fields of juniper and wild flowers on the way to Dingboche the mountain views are outstanding. One of the highlights are the flutted ice walls flanking the Amphu Lapcha pass.

  • Day 8-10: Lobuche/Everest Base Camp.
    You will climb above the treeline and cross alpine pastures and glacial moraine to reach Everest Base Camp with it's colourful array of expedition tents.

  • Day 11-13: Tengpoche/ Mongo/ Lukla
    Descend the Imja Khola past Pangboche, the highest permanent settlement.

  • Day 14: Kathmandu
    You made it! You've done the Everest Base Camp Trek ! Now you can enjoy a day of sight seeing in the bustling city of Kathmandu.

  • Day 15: Depart Kathmandu
