Exit the Princes Hwy at Tomerong south of Nowra and drive along the Braidwood Road. The road is gravel all the way as you pass by Tianjara Falls and eventually arrive at Sassafras. As you enter Sassafras you will ascend a small hill. Keep a look out for an old building on the right. Directly opposite is a metal gate which marks a public right of way. This is the first of five gates that will need to be closed behind you due to livestock in the area. This road is very rough in places but still accessible to 2WD vehicles with reasonable ground clearance and a careful driver. The carpark at the end marks the start of the various walks that start out from here. There is an information board which outlines some of the history of the region. Several hundred metres from the start of the track is a bush camp ground. | ||||||||||||
